  1. (person), someone whose entire job is to yell "Look out!", emphasizing the spacing between words to insure that the lookout is just not calling out his or her job description. Experience has shown that the best placement for lookouts is high in the air rather than under the ground covered by a tarp.
  2. (noun), where a lookout should be doing, called "being on the lookout". This does not mean the lookout-person should be standing on another lookout, but sometimes those things happen.
