I'm so sorry that I did is wrong, I'll never stalk again and never ever visit this site again User: SSBrandon

I only had a problem with two of your articles. I think you have the potential to contribute to this site. But if not, Un1 is always open. Cg097 (talk) 21:26, Jumbly 8, 2017 (UTC)

Adoption request[edit]

Hi. I’ve given you admin and bureaucrat rights on this community as you requested. You now have the tools you need to clean up, customize, and maintain the wiki.

Check out your Admin Dashboard, which can be found by clicking "Admin" on the bottom toolbar. It has links to all your new tools. Please let me know if you have any questions, and good luck with your new (old) wiki! JoePlay FandomStaff.png (talk) 19:26, Serpeniver 25, 2017 (UTC)

How were you able to while I wasn't?![edit]

Since 2015, I've been trying to adopt the wiki, but then, there's this person named User:Kate Susan/User:Phyllis Hyman with his/her ridiculous dream of turning the former Illogicopedia into a "Phyllogicopedia", which is like Uncyclopedia (both utensils) except it's about singer-no-one-knows-about Phyllis Hyman instead of Oscar Wilde. Wikia's Fandom's adoption guidelines require me (someone who wanted to adopt this wiki) to cooperate with the other editors in the dead wiki (which would be him/her), but I can't, because we had different ideals for the future of the wiki. I wanted Wackypedia to be Wackypedia, which would keep Illogicopedia's style of random witty humor but with a parody of Wikipedia (thus the name Wackypedia decided by the former users), but s/he wanted to turn it into "Phyllogicopedia".

You were lucky, to adopt the wiki, because s/he was inactive. When I wasn't because of a civil war caused by a secessionist majority.

What do you want to happen to the wiki? AStranger195 (talkcontribsguestbook) 03:12, Novelniver 18, 2017 (UTC)

I want this wiki to have wacky content that is free of cyberbullying, racism, and excessive profanity. I don't have a problem with using Phyllis Hyman as an inside joke, but this wiki is Wackypedia, not Phyllogicopedia. Cg097 (talk) 04:34, Novelniver 18, 2017 (UTC)

InstantCommons? InstantCommons![edit]

Is it okay for you if I ask Wikia FANDOM via Special:Contact/general to enable InstantCommons here on Wackypedia? It's a feature on MediaWiki (the wiki engine Wackypedia runs on) that allows wikis to get images from Wikimedia Commons. AFAIK, I don't have the right to request FANDOM for it here because I'm not an admin and I also don't have a permission from one... yet (I hope). --AStranger195 (talkcontribsguestbook) 05:19, Novelniver 30, 2017 (UTC)

Yeah, no problem might. Do you need me to make the request myself? Cg097 (talk) 00:54, Ditzimber 1, 2017 (UTC)

I am not the same user as nsequeira119.

Any plans for the future?[edit]

I heard this wiki is going to be closed soon. Should it continue on elsewhere? You seem to be the only regular these days, but there have been other people around, and I've considered editing here because I left Illogicopedia. The dumps linked on Special:Statistics appear to not work, so you may need to get the content another way. I can download the content and most other data with the scripts I used to move Wikia Uncyclopedia to a new server (based on mw:Manual:Grabbers). I can then put it on a new independent wiki, or it could be uploaded to Miraheze or another wiki farm. Deleted content from before October 2013 is gone from Illogicopedia, so this could be the last chance to preserve some of it. (I can't get that without admin rights, though.) Llwy-ar-lawr (talk) 02:44, Yoon 26, 2019 (UTC)

I would like to move it somewhere else. I just made a request for a dump, and it'll probably be completed before the wiki's closed. I think I heard somewhere that you can import dumps into Referata, so that's the farm that I'm leaning towards at the moment. Cg097 (talk) 04:38, Yoon 26, 2019 (UTC)
Good to know. See you there, then (or somewhere). Llwy-ar-lawr (talk) 07:43, Yoon 26, 2019 (UTC)
So the database dump doesn't contain image files. Would you have a way to get them and automatically upload them to another site? Cg097 (talk) 21:32, Yoon 26, 2019 (UTC)
Just as an update, I got the dump downloaded, and the extracted file is about 380 MB, which seems about right. Cg097 (talk) 21:49, Yoon 26, 2019 (UTC)
Sorry, I missed this message. Busy. Getting the images can be done with this method, the "grabbers" scripts I linked, or WikiTeam. I've actually just downloaded them myself, so I can try and send them to you. As for automatically uploading them, if you don't have server-side access the best you can do is probably mw:Extension:MultiUpload or mw:Extension:MsUpload. Miraheze provides the latter; I don't know about Referata. Llwy-ar-lawr (talk) 07:09, Jumbly 8, 2019 (UTC)
No worries. I think I'm actually not going to worry about the images. It turns out Fandom doesn't like people doing grabbing, and I'm not about to get in legal trouble over this. By the way, I started setting up a mirror at, and I'm waiting for Miraheze to complete the import of the dump. Cg097 (talk) 19:26, Jumbly 8, 2019 (UTC)
I don't think they care that much. This is the same method used to get the images for and, and neither of those sites got in trouble. It's up to you, though. I've got the backup if you change your mind. If anyone should get in trouble, it's me. I also made a backup of the content and log events, just in case (in a mirror wiki sitting on my home computer). Llwy-ar-lawr (talk) 21:16, Jumbly 8, 2019 (UTC)
The Uncyclopedias still have the attribution and licensing information for their files, so I don't see what the problem would be. With that being cleared up, I would like the files. Cg097 (talk) 00:25, Jumbly 9, 2019 (UTC)
The attribution will be intact because the dump gives you the file description pages and their histories. Here's a tarball of the images on Google Drive. Here's a checksum file. I think Miraheze can upload them for you. Llwy-ar-lawr (talk) 02:02, Jumbly 9, 2019 (UTC)
Got it. Thanks. Cg097 (talk) 03:00, Jumbly 9, 2019 (UTC)

Forum relaunch[edit]

Your critique/comments would be appreciated for: Forum:Wackypedia

This is just using the same structure as before and you can play around with it if you like. It's not live yet.

  • So it's rather clunky, but it is easy to use.
  • All the old forum structure and posts are still intact for historical purposes. This starts us from scratch.
  • Dummy threads have been added and will be removed before it goes live.
  • Sticky threads are common to all forums.
  • Posts do not have a button to sign posts though thread creators are still always shown. I'll be looking to add the button.
  • The banana icons are a mystery to me. I'll have to ask the bosses if they can find the source for them to delete.
  • The page icon needs to be changed. The same for the link from the sidebar.
  • Note the First Aid intended to report all requests and fixes.

If you want, I can install this on Miraheze (thanks for the magic admin powers, by the way!), although I can't get the input boxes to work on the previously installed News page there. We'll have to take it higher up to see how to get it to work if you don't see what the problem is there. There's always a workaround. Obviously, different artwork and probably forum titles are needed which I can do subject to your approval. Let me know, and I can also show you how the thing is structured. --Nigel Scribbler (talk) 09:24, 21 Jumbly 2020 (UTC)

It works for me. What button to sign posts are you talking about? It looks like you write posts using the normal page editing interface, so you can sign your entries by typing four tildes or using the insert box on the bottom of your screen. I'll have to think about whether I want a forum on Miraheze. Keep me updated on the artwork. Good work so far. Cg097 (talk) 18:46, 21 Jumbly 2020 (UTC)
Talk pages have a signature button in the toolbar above the edit window. By default, MediaWiki doesn't add this button in any other namespace. I've just set it for the forum and project namespaces, so you should see it there now. Llwy-ar-lawr (talk) 18:52, 21 Jumbly 2020 (UTC)
Many thanks, Cg097 and Llwy-ar-lawr. This button, which was just added as advertised:

In 2020, I think you try have to lay out everything in easy reach, i.e., dumbing things down. You've both had long experience with wikis (longer than I have) so signing posts is second nature. I think people are reluctant to actively participate nowadays, relative to a few years ago. From what I see, they like to absorb content, that's for sure.
Cg097, I've started thinking about the artwork for that and other spaces/pseudospaces. You can use a unique site logo, too. --Nigel Scribbler (talk) 19:16, 21 Jumbly 2020 (UTC)

Please stop your deletion of articles. When the visible article count goes down markedly, it shows negative progress onsite and visitors assume the worst. When mass deletions were done to supposedly clean up other wikis (ED, for example), users have walked away in droves. That's what you did back in the day. Note that a lot of the deletions you made a couple years back have been rewritten and added back since a very large number of redlinks was left behind. I don't see you removing redlinks at this time, either.

There are about 70 articles currently residing in TRASH. And they are being deleted gradually as other new articles are written. Nearly every element of Phyllis crap has been deleted without reducing the article count. The very least that you can do is write new articles to replace what you remove. In fact, this will be a requirement for you from now on.

Be aware that you don't run this site anymore and it was still left by you in really in bad shape and static; you should have been adding content while doing deletions. It also took a helluva long time to get this site back into reasonable shape for a now very reduced readership that may or may not be recoverable. Where were you when the heavy lifting was needed? It's fun to play onsite now where you have free rein but where others have worked hard to bring it back to where it should have been. And that, in my book, took priority over bad article deletion.

Continue to delete at your peril without writing any new articles. At this point, you look very nuch like a vandal from UnAnything trying to knock out the competition. --Nigel Scribbler (talk) 04:44, 13 Arche 2021 (UTC), and Karakorum over at Miraheze

Saw your disclaimer. That bot is not active here, so no worries. --Nigel Scribbler (talk) 23:28, 30 Jumbly 2021 (UTC)

I wasn't sure if someone else could open the account here and get its old user rights, so I thought it would be best to preemptively deny. The user list does say it's still a Zombie and Werewolf. If you think there's a possibility it could be used maliciously, I'd suggest trying to permablock the account. Cg097 (talk) 00:41, 3 Ergust 2021 (UTC)
I don't know what you're seeing but don't worry. The bot is a redlink/doesn't exist and the Zombie category is also a redlink and has also been deleted for good measure. --Nigel Scribbler (talk) 09:13, 19 Ergust 2021 (UTC)
