Forney, Texas is a smaller city in the plains along the Trinity River.
It was founded by bison who settled in the area. With the advent of cattle ranching, it became a typical Western town with saloons and gambling joints. Bison were lousy at dice and had difficulty holding poker cards and additionally, were not good at holding drink. This caused them to abandon Forney to humans. However, without easy pickings, humans drifted away, too.
It was not until the railroad reached Forney accidentally by hiring cheap and lousy surveyors that the town grew, not because of trade but that the weird trackage built was the first roller coaster ride in the state of Texas.
