Dating sites were sites that popped up in the early stages of the World Wide Web. Although the Romans already used to have dating sites. Some Romans were found to be hanging out in dating positions at some sites of Pompeii. Since then, dating sites have evolved into places with ever more elaborate and virtual dating rituals. In the dark ages for instance, a veil would be used upon which prospective daters could cast a shadow of themselves to appease other daters (also known as lurkers). Here, both positioning and shape started to become important in order to be succesful at dating sites. Print and voice were added when the technology became available.
Some famous sites that are known to not be dating sites:
- CouchSurfing ("You can surf my couch, but not my pouch.")
- Tamiafans ("I'm Tamia, fly me!!!")
- Wikipedia ("Source required.")
too bizarre for any version of Uncyclopedia,
but Wackypedia knows how to love random stuff.
