1. (name), formerly Chicago Transit Authority, it was a group of bus drivers that formed a marching band. After not being good at marching and not liking the itchy wool uniforms, the band shortened its name to Chicago and became a 234-piece rock/pop band. A city was named in their honor, but it is not clear which one.
