Industrial disease refers to the spread of industrial music throughout the world.

Originally intended to create bass sounds to communicate with whales, industrial music, or merely "industrial", grew into a genre intended to do what contemporary music has always done: piss off old people and classical music snobs. As it is normally played loud and emphasizes bass beats, it achieves that goal perfectly with the additional benefit of irritating fans of all other music genres. As such, the sound is non-directional, making it hard for Whitesnake fans to find you to beat you up.

Industrial requires no musical knowledge or ability to play musical instruments. With a few hammers and a tape recorder played while garbage dumpsters are being unloaded, an an artist has all he or she needs.
